The AFUP, Association Française des Utilisateurs de PHP, have just announced the upcoming conference "Forum PHP 2008". The two day conference will feature one technical day with the most advanced PHP techniques and a business day, with case studies and examples of successful projects.

Sessions from the best French speaking experts will include :

  • How to manage a PHP project (tools, methods, ...)
  • Insure code quality
  • Internet and legal issues (intellectual property, ...)
  • Build a business around
  • PHP scalibility
  • Connect services(web services)
  • Rich User Interfaces (technology choice, implementation, ...)

Sessions will typically be 45 minutes long followed by a 10 minutes Q&A session and up to 3 hours for workshops. Use the form on the site to submit your session proposal.

Proposals will be reviewed after the deadline has passed. Additional information may be asked where needed. Proposals will be chosen according to their layout, relevancy for a professional audience and the overall homegeneity of the forum. Every candidate will be personnally notified of the status of their proposal. The decision is final. Priority will be given to sessions in French.

From 4th to 5th April 2008 in Utrecht will be held the third annual Conference and Expo : Dutch Joomla!days 2008. From this Friday, November 30th to December 1st will be held the 2nd annual PHP Conference Brasil 2007. The event will take place at UNIFIEO in Osasco, S?o Paulo. This year's conference will have room for 1000 people. Its scheduled for tutorials of 3 hours, aside of speeches, cases, stands and a great catch up time for newbies and veterans. From 7 to 9 November 2007 will be the held the DC PHP Conference in Washington, DC. This year the conference will focus on "Creating Enterprise Level Web Applications with PHP" with lots of great sessions on PHP Security, Scalability, the art of PHP, and alternative topics.
